2019 saw the growth of exciting impact collaborations

All out for environment

Indigenous maps protected the rainforest in Ecuador. Ecosia planted trees for every search. And Mapbox Terraformers grew our sustainability efforts.

Data for disaster resilience

Ona dashboards assisted Cyclone Idai response. GovSummit showcased how maps aid recovery. And OpenStreetMap iD Editor accelerated mapping the unmapped with Facebook's mapwith.ai.

Atlas in the field

The Mapbox Atlas field kit travelled to Kinshasa, Puerto Rico, and Côte d'Ivoire. The Atlas Toolkit is being tested by partners in Suriname, Zambia, DRC, and Alaska.

All out for environment

Our team grew to support research and learning partners. Great web maps and Mapboxers were in courses and GIS day events across the country.
