Mapbox Agent Toolkit for Maps and Navigation SDK

While developers are increasingly building AI assistants that interact directly with applications, these agents often lack an understanding of the physical world. To address this gap, Mapbox is introducing an SDK toolkit that allows developers to seamlessly integrate location capabilities into in-app agents. With these toolkits, agents can read and modify context across more than 35 mapping and navigation controls.

For example, drivers can use natural voice commands during navigation to request adding a stop to a route, or evaluate traffic impacts on upcoming meetings. Chat agents can also interact directly with maps, for example, by adding points, controlling the map view, or getting route summaries.

Ultimately, these toolkits simplify agent integration, freeing up development resources and accelerating time to market.
