StubHub has tickets available for over 10 million live sports, music and theatre events in more than 27,000 venue configurations around the world. During the Covid downtime, the team at StubHub recreated their exclusive interactive seatmaps using the MTS (Mapbox Tiling Service). This allowed StubHub to provide the same convenient georeferenced stadium seating selections while offloading old technical debt that didn't scale with their business.

StubHub tiles seating data for each stadium. Before Mapbox Tiling Service, StubHub had to maintain a growing library of seatings for 3 versions: Web, IOS and Android. It was time consuming and painful to maintain because all 3 versions needed to be the same at any given time. 

With MTS, consistency across the destination devices is guaranteed. The seating data is processed only once and the resulting tileset can be used in all web and mobile apps. Stubhub can now expand to infinitely more venues without having to worry about infrastructure and operational bottlenecks.
