KML is a file format that’s like GeoJSON, but used more commonly in Google products. Like GeoJSON, it can store points, lines, polygons, and other vector data. Unlike GeoJSON, it’s based on XML, rather than JSON.
Mapbox lets you export and use your data as KML via web services, and import KML features using the Mapbox Studio dataset editor and the Mapbox Studio style editor. You can also add KML data as a source in Mapbox Studio Classic. When uploading KML, keep the following in mind:
