Add Mapbox style to CartoDB

Maps styles created with the Mapbox Studio style editor or Studio Classic can be added as basemaps to CartoDB. Any of the preset basemaps or a custom style from Mapbox can be added as the primary basemap for your CartoDB map.

Add style created with Studio

Open the CartoDB project where the Mapbox style will be added. Click on Change basemap > Yours > +.

In Mapbox Studio, go to the Style page of the map to add and click on Share & use.

Under Use style in other apps click on CartoDB and copy the URL by clicking on the clipboard icon.

In CartoDB, add the Share URL and click on ADD BASEMAP.

The Studio style you’ve just added will appear as the CartoDB basemap.

Add style created with Studio Classic

Open the CartoDB project where the Mapbox style will be added. Click on Change basemap > Yours > +.

In Mapbox, go to the Classic page and copy the Map ID of the style you will use. Also copy an access token from the account page.

In CartoDB, click on Mapbox, enter the Map ID and access token, and click on ADD BASEMAP.

The Studio Classic style you’ve just added will appear as the CartoDB basemap.
