Pune Design Festival 2017

February 10-11, 2017 in Pune, India

Pune Design Festival is an annual conference that celebrates the impact of Design & Design Thinking in Indian context. This year’s theme: ‘Trans.Form’ explores how design is transforming with the changing society, access to technology, and innovation.

Our work at Mapbox often blurs the boundaries between design & technology. Our data team in Bengaluru works on projects like designing custom maps to visualize lane data and localizing crowdsourced map data for a Kannada map. We use digital map design for showing crowdsourced data and coordinating humanitarian relief, like with the Chennai flood map and Nepal damage analysis. Maps can also initiate behavioral change, like the visualization of traffic fatalities in the US.

Catch Rasagy at the event to talk about digital cartography, mixing technology with design, open design education, or anything to do with maps!
