The Washington Post continues its recent trend of amazing map visualizations with a new piece on well-off zip codes, “A World Apart”, built with MapBox.js.

Using data from the US Census, the Post has mapped the country’s “Super Zips” — the most educated and prosperous areas. Unsurprisingly, most of these are clustered around metropolitan areas – the largest collection of which surrounds the Washington, D.C. region. Following the District are Manhattan, San Jose, Boston, and Oakland.
