The next release of Tableau will have full custom map design integration. Just click to add a “Map Service” and paste in the URL from our design Studio.
This will be public for all users when Tableau 9.3 launches. Zen Masters and beta users already have early access and are creating amazing maps of flooding in the UK, traffic on national rail networks, drone imagery for insurance claims, and a recreation of the cautionary cinematic classic WarGames.
We’ll blog more examples and documentation closer to Tableau 9.3’s public release. In the meantime, check out Chris Toomey and Craig Bloodworth’s guide to using Studio with Tableau, including a look at the APIs that make it possible.
