MongoDB, best known for their document-oriented database solutions, just launched maps inside of Compass. With Compass’s new GUI, you can quickly run ad hoc queries and visually explore your data on a map.

You can now point and click to build sophisticated spatial queries and then execute them with the push of a button. Compass will display your results on a Mapbox map and as sets of JSON documents.
