Early next week, we’re going to tag the first beta release of the
iD editor for OpenStreetMap,
one of the main products of our Knight Foundation
grant work for open data. Here’s a sneak peek of what the improved interface
offers and how it has radically simplified editing tasks in its alpha3
iD is an open source project on GitHub which
we’ve documented and journaled during its
development. You can try it out today,
and we’ll be working on documentation, translation, and much more
in the coming months.
